Jean Owen is eagerly sought out for her exemplary professional skills as a Newborn Care Specialist, Infant Sleep Trainer and Newborn Consultant. Trained as a professional British Baby Nurse with more than 30 years of experience, she is available for in home care of new born infants and young children. Being so passionate about her work, she finds it extremely rewarding and fulfilling helping new mums / parents develop and build their infant care skills, at the same time allowing them to enjoy their experience with patience, confidence and loving care. She also provides consulting service for newborn care. Her knowledge and personality make her a perfect fit for newborn care. She advises clients in all aspects of newborn and child care, but in no way is she there to dictate her ideas to clients. Clients are always in charge and make the decisions. Her philosophy is, “if mummy is happy, the baby is happy”. She will be there to support mum every step of the way.
Jean has two passions, babies and rescue dogs. Jean was born and raised in England. She spent two years at Ware College to earn the highly coveted N.N.E.B. (National Nursery Examination Board) certificate 104026. She has continued to take courses to keep current on areas of importance in infant care. Jean has worked as a Newborn Care Specialist, Sleep Trainer, and Nanny. Jean also provides consulting services for Newborn Care and Sleep Training either by phone or in home. She remains good friends and is in contact with many of her past clients. When not working she will take time to visit her families to see how they are doing, and just to stay in touch.
Jean’s loving, caring and calm personality, quickly puts parents at ease and the babies of course. She helps with all aspects of newborn care, breast feeding and milk storage, baby and mum’s diet, implementing suitable sleeping and feeding schedules and discussing other issues that are unique to each family. Jean quickly moves overwhelmed parents to confident, calm and comfortable. Jean will help parents develop a routine that works for their baby and their life style. She’s an expert in new born care and is recognized as such by beginning colleagues who continually seek out her advice and counsel and selects a few to mentor.
